About - Megan Bartley

I received a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts majoring in Graphic Design from Old Dominion University Norfolk, Va. Then continued to sharpen my design skills at the Chicago Portfolio School. In this ever-changing world of technology, there is always more to learn. To expand my skills I continually take training classes from places like Lynda.com or Ascend Training.

For the past several years, I have done freelance graphic design for many small companies in the Chicago area; designing logos, stationery, wedding invitations, standard manuals, package, and promotional design. I also have experience in large format platforms with billboards and event signage.

I’m fortunate enough to have blended my passion for design and sailing. This unique experience began in college by designing regatta shirts for the ODU Sailing team. I have continued to design for a variety of sporting events.

When I’m not working as a designer, you’ll most likely find me on the water coaching sailing, or racing with my peers. I believe this is where I’ve developed my communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. These three basic skills are essential to competing both in sailing and in life.
