With the text Lebowski and its background, I wanted to emulate a vintage bowling alley sign.
The image its self is a photo I took. I wanted to represent Jeff Bridges’ character Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski by his drink of choice the White Russian.

Comic R. Crumb Poster
For this R. Crumb poster I chose to Crumb’s illustration of Stoned Agin, 1969. I was able to take pieces of his illustration and manipulate it with a large bold font, to create this poster.
I also decided to make this poster square with a black outline to keep with R. Crumb background in the comic section in newspapers.

I used Rembrandt’s painting of “The Storm on the Sea of Galilee”, 1633, and a quote from Rembrandt “Choose only one master; Nature”
When I was looking around Rembrandt's paints, I found his painting of The Storm on the Sea of Galilee, Rembrandt only work with a maritime scene, and it instantly spoke to me. Probably because I am a sailor.
Finding Rembrandt’s quote “Choose only one master; nature” to me was the icing on the cake. As a sailor, there is really “only one master, nature”.
